Tour of the CHP Academy

One of our neighbors and good friends, Mike Brown, works for the CHP. He was recently promoted to Lieutenant and Jim and Cole joined him in Sacramento for a tour of the CHP academy. Cole has decided he wants to be a CHP when he grows up! Thanks for giving him the VIP treatment Mike!

Napa Valley

We took our 4th annual trip to Napa Valley this summer and it did not disappoint! I always look forward to this little get away because it is pure relaxation. We were joined by our neighbors, Mike and Leslie, who are expecting their 4th little girl in February! We spent lots of time by the pool relaxing and had two very delicious meals; the first at Ad Hoc in Yountville and the second at Farmstead in St. Helena. We all brought our bikes with us this time and took a 16 mile bike ride through the vineyards in Yountville, it was awesome. I'm already looking forward to the trip next year and thank you Millie and Tony for watching our kids so that we could get away for a few days!

We took this exact same picture 8 years ago on our honeymoon.

San Francisco with my USD friends

Two of my good friends from USD had planned a trip up to San Francisco for a weekend in July and I was able to sneak away and spend some time with them. It was so nice to get away for some girl time and it was my first time to the city without the kids in what seems like forever. It's amazing how much you can see and get done when you don't have the kids and stroller in tow. We pretty much covered the city by foot and it was a beautiful clear day. We enjoyed a nice lunch with some wine and a great dinner out. I stayed with them at their hotel in Union Square and we went out to breakfast at my favorite restaurant on Sunday morning. Thanks so much for letting me crash your vacation. It was great catching up with you two ladies!

4th of July Neighborhood Block Party and Parade

Olivia learned to ride her two wheeler in March (3 1/2 yrs old!),
so this was her first time actually riding in the parade! After her
4 mile bike ride in Tahoe, this was a breeze!

Cole with his bike all decked out

Izzy was taking her morning nap until......

I woke her up to take pictures and for the parade.

Trying to get the kids all lined up (somewhat impossible!)

Our grand marshalls and safety patrol for the kids!

The kids all rode to the assited living facility down the street and handed
out american flags and leis to the elderly. They were so cute!

The girls all lined up to greet the elderly.

And here we go!

Poor Izzy was not a fan, she started crying so I headed inside with her.

Olivia at 9:30 pm passed out after a full day outside in the heat!

Happy 4th of July!!
