Cole turns 6!

It's hard for me to believe this little guy is 6. I truly don't know where the time went and I can't believe how much he is changing. He's adjusted to Kindergarten and doing really well. They are long days for him (8:15 am- 3:00pm), so he is pretty tired once he gets home, but he is learning so much and we are so proud of him. My dad flew up from San Diego, on the 22nd and spent the week with us. Unfortunately, he was in a lot of pain with his back, so we didn't get to go out and "do" very much, but we did get to spend a lot of quality time with him, which was really nice for all of us. Cole ended up not feeling well on his birthday, he had a fever the night before and just didn't feel well, so we decided to keep him home from school (the first day he missed for the year), and he hung out at home with Grandpa and they built the lego sets that he and Grandma Carolyn had given to him on his birthday. We celebrated his birthday the next day, when he was feeling better. I made treats for his class and Grandpa got to come along with me to meet his teacher and his classmates and of course to sing, Happy Birthday! We had his birthday party on November 4th, so stay tuned for those pictures!

I love it, because everytime I take Izzy to school the girls
are always so interested in her and wanting to hold her and
play with her, while the boys could care less!

Apple Hill

My mom and Mike came up to visit us for a few days in October to see the kids, celebrate their birthdays and also to watch the kids so that we could get some time away (we went to Sonoma for 2 days). They got to watch Cole's soccer game on Saturday and then on Sunday we took them up to Apple Hill for some more fall fun and special treats (I'm in love with their Apple donuts!). We had a fun afternoon visiting two of the orchards and Mike was able to capture some cute family photos. It's so beautiful up there this time of year, I love it!

Bishops Pumpkin Farm

It's become an annual tradition for us. Halloween wouldn't be complete without our family trip to Bishops Pumpkin Farm in Wheatland. This was Cole's 6th year and the kids look forward to it so much! We went a little earlier in the season this year and the pumpkin selection was awesome. I think we got 4 huge pumpkins for like $18!! The kids enjoyed hiking through the fields in search of their perfect pumpkin. We ate a yummy lunch, followed by some apple pie and caramel apples (healthy, I know!), but boy were they good! The kids got to feed the animals and enjoy the train ride. This was Bella's first trip and as usual, she was a total trooper. We stayed for about 5 hours and all of us came home very dirty and very tired!
They had more fun on this slide.

Waiting in line for the Hayride to go pick
out our pumpkins.

Izzy's First Hayride, doesn't she looked thrilled? :-)

I had to end with this picture, because this is where everything fell apart. Olivia was getting her picture taken here and Cole wanted a turn, so he tried to pull her down and of course, she pulled back which made her fall into the wood thing, cut her lip open and start bleeding. She started crying as soon as she saw the blood and then Jim got really upset with Cole for doing that to her, so he started crying and everything pretty much fell apart. We knew it was time to go home!
