Lake Tahoe, January 2009

We took the kids to Tahoe for a few days earlier in the week and had a GREAT time. We could not have had better weather (it snowed a ton over the weekend so there was plenty of snow on the ground) but the sky was as blue as could be. We took Cole up on the Gondola at Heavenly to "Adventure Peak" for a day full of sledding and playing in the snow, followed by some fun in the jacuzzi.

Cole rockin his new pink "Dora the Explorer" boots. This is what happens when you try and find boots for toddlers last minute (it's called the clearance section at K-Mart). Fortunately, he is still too young to know the difference and they didn't phase him at all.

Some bath time fun

Just some cute pictures of the kids to share....

Oh my goodness look at these rolls......

Ladies and Gentleman...we have a thumb sucker

So maybe Olivia is going to take after her Tia Kristen (Lesley's older sister) she was also a thumb sucker AND a sleeper. But I'm not complaining. If that is the secret to her sleeping 11-12 hours a night, then I will just deal with the repercussions later :-)

A little bit of brotherly love :-)

The other day while I was making Cole lunch I gave him some stickers to keep him busy and this is what he decided to do with them. He was so proud of himself. I think this is his idea of "sharing".

A Case of the Terrible Two's...?

A few of you may have already seen these pictures but I figured I needed to post them on here so they are documented and I have them to show Cole years from now.

Last week it was a rainy day so I decided to take the kids to the mall to play at the indoor play structure to release a little energy. Cole has become obsessed about taking some sort of toy with him in the car where ever we go. Everything from his plastic golf clubs to an electric toy drill. So I sent him off the play room and told him to pick out "ONE" toy while I got Olivia ready to go and this is how the kid showed up. Note that the entire backpack (including the front pocket is filled with books and toys) and he also put his matchbox trucks in a ziploc. You would think we were leaving for a week.

Then when I told him he could only take "ONE" toy with him. He had a total meltdown. To add insult to injury, I started laughing at him and snapping pictures and that REALLY put him over the edge. Gotta love him :-)

Our Sledding Adventure, Lake Arrowhead, California

Over our Christmas vacation we headed up to Lake Arrowhead to spend some time with my mom and took Cole sledding for his very first time. We all had a great time (Olivia slept through the entire event, as usual).
We are looking forward to taking Cole sledding again and hopefully next time Olivia will be awake.

My 2009 New Year's Resolution

Mission accomplished!! One of my many goals for 2009 is up and running. I have been wanting to start blogging for a long time now, but always seem to be to busy working on something else. A lot of my friends have started one and I think it is such a great way to share stories, pictures and ideas with all of our friends and family. With 2 little ones around the house, there is plenty to capture and share and I can't wait to get started on it. I'm looking forward to sharing our stories and hope you all enjoy :-)
