Olivia's Baptism

On August 16, 2009, our little Olivia Grace was Baptized at St. Clare's in Roseville. I was able to find her adorable little dress from a friend in our Play Group that used to own a children's boutique (Thanks Annie!) and she looked so precious that day.
Jim's family all flew up to join us on her special day and Cole had such a FUN time hanging out with his "aunties". He always loves when they come to visit. Jim's parents stayed for the week, which meant I got a little break as well when they took the kids out. All in all, a great little week. Thank you Meyer Family!

Lake Tahoe

A few weeks ago, we all headed up to South Lake Tahoe to enjoy our first trip to the mountains in the summertime and boy did we have an awesome time. The weather could not have been any better and the kids had an absolute blast!! It was a nice break from the triple digits we have been used to and what beautiful scenery. We spent some time down by the lake, but Cole was not a fan of the "cold" water, so most of our time was spent poolside. Cole really started swimming and could not get enough of the water. I love this little srunchy face Olivia always makes.

I have to laugh at how much "stuff" comes with us wherever we seem to go. Thank goodness for the "Bob" double stroller!

Our 5 year anniversary

I have really gotten behind on my blogging lately. Once again, too many things going on, and not enough time. Maybe that's why I enjoy summer so much. Our nights have been spent hanging outside with the kids, enjoying the perfect evenings instead of being stuck inside.

I left off when my mom came to visit in July (yikes, over a month ago!) so that Jim and I could go to Napa Valley for the weekend to celebrate our 5 year anniversary. We stayed in Yountville at the Villagio and it was absolutely perfect! An amazing hotel and it was so relaxing for the both of us. What an incredible (and busy) 5 years it has been for us and our family!! Two beautiful children, a huge move up North and new jobs and I love you more and more each day. I feel so lucky to have married my best friend and the person that makes me so happy! Here's to another 50++ years!!

Jim and I drove down on Friday and enjoyed an awesome meal at "Mustards." Saturday, we woke up to an incredible breakfast at the hotel and then we ended up hanging out by the pool all day and relaxing. It was so nice to be able to close our eyes and not have to worry about the little ones. Saturday night we ate at Bouchon, which is a relatively new restaraunt, owned by the same Chef as The French Laundry in Napa (and recommended to us by our friends, the Sullivans). Jim and I ate so much, they had to practically roll us out of there. So much for the diets, but gosh was it good!
Sunday morning I suprised Jim with a hot air balloon ride over Napa Valley. We had talked about wanting to go on one before and what better place than the vineyards in Napa Valley. The only bummer part was that the balloons operated once a day and you had to be there at 5:30 in the morning. This was rough considering it was our one weekend away from the kids and our one opportunity to sleep in! BUT, we did it and both agreed it was well worth it.

Here are some shots from our amazing weekend! Thanks for watching the kiddos for us mom! You can come back whenever you like :-)
