We spent Christmas Eve at my mom's house this year and a fun night with our family friends, the Drozds. My mom and Mike cooked a delicious turkey meal and we had a great time visiting with everyone. After the Drozd's left, we put out food for Santa and the reindeer (Carrots, a cookie and some milk), hung our stockings, and then read "The Night Before Christmas" and "Polar Express" which has always been the tradition in my family. Daddy read the books this year and then we put the kids to sleep so that Santa could come! The kids made out like bandits on Christmas morning and we had a great time. After spending Christmas morning in Lake Arrowhead, we drove down to Orange County to spend the rest of Christmas Day with Jim's family. Once again, the kids were spoiled with lots and lots of gifts from Aunty Lisa and Aunty Kathleen. We had a fun weekend at the Meyers house and enjoyed some nice weather and lots of relaxtion. On Sunday it was time to pack up our car one FINAL time for our trip back home. The kids did great on the way back home, although they barely slept at all (go figure on a 10 hour drive Cole did not sleep at all and Olivia only slept for about 1.5 hours), but they watched 2 movies and played with their toys. We left Orange County at 6:30 am and were home by 4:30pm. We had a great visit down South and to NYC, but there is NO place like home. We ALL slept great that night and have been enjoying having some time off this week to play with all of the new toys and spend some time outside.

This is the best family photo we were able to capture (and it's not very good!)

the book memorized so he was able to follow right along)

My mom made Olivia a beautiful quilt for her doll bed (the bed itself was mine as a child) and it matches her crib bedding here at home. She did such an amazing job and it was such a special gift. She also knitted her a hat and scarf that are the cutest thing I have ever seen. Olivia loves them both. She plays with the doll bed all of the time and loves putting herself to bed in it.

Spiderman, Spiderman - that was definitely the theme for Cole this year. Everything he got was SPIDERMAN!
