Christmas Eve we were joined by Jim's parents, his sisters and one of their good friends, Gabby. They all made the long drive from Southern California to celebrate with us and we were very glad they were here. His sister, Lisa, bought a Santa outfit and arranged for a special visit from "Santa Claus" on Christmas Eve. So just before we were getting dinner on, we heard a knock on the door and Santa was at our doorstep with some presents. The kids were so excited. Not sure they really thought it was the real Santa or not, but they were pretty much in awe!

Last year, our neighbors and good friends, the Cukjati's invited us to join them and put
reindeer food out on our lawn for the reindeer :-) Reindeer food consists of dried oatmeal and glitter so that when Santa is flying threw the sky, the reindeer see the glitter and can sit and eat on the grass while Santa does his "work." Despite the fact that it was freezing, the kids still had a fun time and Santa was able to find our house, so it must have worked!
